This warm, silky drink is a lush tonic is known as what we call “Sattvic”, which means it is balancing and restorative to the body and mind.

It’s always very benefical for any exhaustion and fatigue since it helps to repair and nourish our vitality and immunity or what we call “ojas” in Ayurveda.

The magnesium in cashews has a mild depressant effect on the nerves that helps ward off feelings of stress and anxiety, relax the muscles, and promote sound sleep throughout the night.

Vata types will find this a rejuvenating drink, especially with the sweetness of milk, ghee and sugar. It is said to restore a feeling of vitality and sexiness.

Ingredients:

2 cups organic whole milk (almond milk or coconut milk s also good if you prefer that)

2 teaspoons ghee

2-3 teaspoons raw organic sugar

¼ teaspoon ground cardamom

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon finely chopped cashews

3-4 strands saffron

Instructions:

Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring frequently, over medium heat.

Pour or ladle into mugs, and serve immediately.
